The HFA80A-F2Y is a new class D audio amplifier from STMicroelectronics, featuring BCD9s technology and designed for automotive applications.

The HFA80A-F2Y integrates an advanced solution with excellent radiated noise immunity and the benefits of a 2 MHz switching PWM Class D output stage. This configuration enables excellent audio performance while designing compact, cost-effective applications.

The HFA80A-F2Y supports wideband applications with extremely low noise and total harmonic distortion. In addition, it features an extensive diagnostic matrix to support the most demanding OEM requirements for speaker control and system robustness/reliability.The HFA80A supports start/stop cranking down to 4.5 V and is available in a very compact and slim LQFP 7x7 package for any class of automotive application.
